Gold & Leopard

Standard

Despite that smile, it’s been a long week y’all. Meeting after meeting after meeting, with two 3+ hour roundtrip commutes thrown in for good measure. Few more meetings today and need to clean house tonight, so no rest for the weary (mind you, I feel guilty even saying that in comparison to you ladies with kids! I don’t know how I’m ever going to do that! I’m already tired and I’m old! *lol*).

Anywho, quick post to share my outfit from yesterday. I’m giving that leopard skirt from Wallis a workout (sorry, it’s out of stock as of the date of this post)! I paired it with a black tank and a tulip-sleeve, gold brocade fitted jacket that I got from Atelier in Montclair for about $12, I think! I accessorized with white-trimmed, black T-strap BGBG Girls platforms and a cute little, gold and cream flower earrings and necklace set that I got at Walmart in the spring.

My hair was essentially in the same tuck and roll from the previous day with a different flower.

A little worse for the wear at the end of the day,
but you get the idea.

By the way, did you notice the nice little bruiser on my cheek?!

I was outside of work on Wednesday night talking to a friend and got bit the frick up by mosquitos or something! I have four bites on my right leg too!!

Can you tell how big, red and swollen these things are?!? They itch like crazy!! Okay, sorry. That was completely random, but just needed to share my pain with you guys ;).

Alright, gotta go!

Happy Friday!

Style Inspiration (Fashion Edition): Animal Prints

Standard

Remember that I told you guy in this post on Monday that I ordered quite a few goodies and would be sharing them over the next couple of weeks? Welp! Here are two of those goodies!! I ordered this outfit two Sundays ago after seeing Folake of  Style Pantry killing this outfit on her Facebook page!

Just one word: GENIUS!! I just couldn’t get over how brilliant this pairing was! And, you may not know this, but I have a serious leopard-print obsession. Like, I own leopard sheets, leopard trimmed towels, a leopard shower curtain, 3 leopard dresses, a tiered leopard skirt, a leopard blazer, a leopard button down blouse and a leopard sleeveless tie-neck top leopard-print obsessed!!

So, when I discovered that the skirt was only $52 on WallisFashion.com and the top only $34.06 on Asos.com, I just had to do it! I usually am just inspired by looks … this one, I straight up jacked!! LOL!! Anywho, I purchased two of the leopard skirts, a 6 and an 8, because I’m a little heavier than normal and I wanted to be able to wear the skirt “now” and “later.” LOL!! I got the top in a medium. Both companies are based in the UK I believe, so they don’t “vanity size” like the US and both the medium top and size 8 skirt fit perfectly! If they were US sizes, I’d probably need a medium top and a size 4 skirt!

Anywho, the top is sooooo soft and it’s slightly sheer, but not overly. Very pretty and feminine. The skirt is unlined and made of a soft, stretchy material that creates a nice fit but isn’t overly clingy. It also has an exposed black back zipper and a banded waist. I LOVE both pieces and can NOT wait to rock this style! On another note, Asos has free shipping and returns and my ordered arrived within a week.  Wallis offers free standard shipping on all purchases over $30, so I qualified for that as well, but that order took a little over a week and a half to arrive. Now here is where the true awesomeness comes in though. Why’d I get even more savings on both orders? The day that I purchased, I simply googled coupon codes and played around a little and got 20% off of my Asos order and $10 off of my Wallis!! In fact, there is an entire Facebook page dedicated to providing Asos discount codes!! It’s called Threadcodes.com. Definitely check it out before making any Asos purchases unless you are the type who just despises saving money! *lol*

Alright, I’m out! Gotta pre-poo, finish watching mah Pound Puppies, get a pedi (yup, I want that orange nail polish too ;)) and then hit the road to spend some time with my neice!

Peeeeace!!
