I saw the above photo some time ago … and I’ve seen it periodically on various hair sites over the last couple of years … I’m sure many of you have as well. I immediately fell in love with this big and fluffy multi-ponytail-buns-poof style!! Well, yesterday, I pulled the front of my hair back and made a little poof with a couple of bobby pins. My hair was looking pretty big and fluffy.
So, I decided, “What the heck? Let’s give this a try!!” I grabbed two Goody Comfort Flex Barrettes and a small black silicone elastic and made the three sections, tugging the hair above the barrettes to give each “bump” some volume. And this is what I got!
I definitely do not have the amount of hair that the model has in the inspiration photo and my layers make the bottom section a tail, rather than a puff … but I was still pretty pleased with the results!! The great thing is that it was really super easy to do too!!

Awwww, thanks Sawah!! I’m so flattered!! And your cornrow faux hawk is sooo cute!! Did you do it yourself or did you have someone else do it?? I so want to get my hair done in a style like that! I could probably manage it myself, but it would take me forever to get the parts right … and I just don’t have the patience!! I need to find a local braider for when I want styles like that!!

I think that you have enough hair to rock the style above, just think that you needed to tease out the hair some more. It’s to tucked in from what I’m seeing so far, but it still looks good just adjust it and you’re good to go :). I would wear this put definitely not on a regular basis, probably doing the cooler months. Maybe once or twice during the summer months.

this is such a pretty version of one of my favorite hairstyles (multiple-buns going back) even though i can’t wear it. you rock it well. i think the pic is more editorial and yours is more for the every day fashionista….

I did something similar to this last year or early this year with my medium length hair and posted a video on my YT account. I used bobbie pins instead of the Goody barretts because I don’t have enough hair to hold those barretts in place . It was okay but I’m not sure I’d wear it again. I like the way it looks on the model and on your hair.
