Etoile is back for Round Two too!!

Greetings all. This is my second time participating in The Hairscapades GOC! I had such a ball during the first challenge and I am soo excited to be a participant in GOC II! Yeah!
I’m a rain maker by day, amateur chef by night, lover of all things pink and certified-card-carrying-don’t-try-this-at-home-kids product junkie!
Hair
My go-to style is my Wash N’ Go. I’ve tried a few other styles, but I truly am a no fuss, no muss kinda gal … WnG, afro puff or bun.
Weekly:
- Pre-Poo overnight with olive oil, jojoba oil or Treasured Locks Argan Oil.
- Wet my hair under the shower stream and apply either HEHH or Pantene Nature Fusion Moisture Balance Conditioner, then finger detangle (following the condition, shampoo, condition method).
- Shampoo with Doris New York Reconstructor Shampoo. (Note: For spring/summer, I plan to wash every 2 weeks but to co-wash every 5 days with HEHH or Aussie Moist.)
- Detangle in the shower with HEHH Conditioner or Pantene Nature Fusion Moisture Balance Conditioner
- Step out of the shower and deep condition my hair with Doris New York Mud Minerals Pack, Blended Beauty Herbal Reconditioner or Organix Hydrating Macadamia Oil Intensive Moisture Mask.
- Sit under heating cap for 30-60 minutes. (Note: For spring/summer I plan to deep condition every other co-wash and always on my shampoo day.)
- Aply leave-in conditioner to freshly rinsed and damp hair, either Doris New York Leave-In Conditioner, Kinky Kurly Knot Today or My Modified Kimmaytube LIC Recipe (I substitute olive oil for the castor oil).
- Apply Doris New York Olive Oil Cream to seal and add additional moisture and sheen.
*Note: Starting June 1, I will go back to the Tightly Curly method and style with conditioner only, using either Aussie Moist or Blended Beauty Curl Styling Butter.
I am planning to book an appointment at the top of May to see the curl whisperer herself, Tameeka of Jaded Tresses for a trim and my summer highlights.
Health & Fitness
On April 1, I am going to start a 30 day raw food cleanse. I do this cleanse periodically and it works well to help me shed pounds and detox.
- Breakfast: Raw Fruit
- Lunch and Dinner: Salad with lots of fresh, raw veggies (broccoli, carrots, asparagus, avocado, radishes, peppers, etc.) dressed with balsamic vinegar/olive oil or lemon juice.
- Snacks: Raw nuts and raw fruit
- Kickboxing 2-3 days a week
- Walk/run 1-2 days a week
- Walk a minimum of 1 mile a day
