GOC Contenders – The Sixth Wave

Standard
M a r t i n i q u e

Current State: Approx. an inch short of bra-strap length (BSL), major split ends and heat damaged due to straightening 2-5 times a week for the past 2 months

Goal: Bra-strap length (BSL) to mid-back length (MBL), healthy hair

Regimen: I’ve been wearing my hair straight for about 2 months and, honestly, haven’t been properly maintaining it.  I will be trimming my ends to begin the challenge. I usually do WnGs and didn’t notice any damage from them, but want to explore more styles. Finally, I want to keep up with the great routine I had before I started straightening my hair.

Weekly:

  • Co-wash hair with Herbal Essences Hello Hydration (HE HH)
  • Deep condition with JessiCurl Weekly Deep Conditioner
  • Style with Uncle Funky’s Daughter products

Monthly:

  • Protein Treatment (this is new to my regimen)

Reward: This was a hard one as I have no idea of a reward to give myself. If I think of something, I will definitely update you on that!
